The focus there was specifically how the software and programs developed are the most fascinating, and groundbreaking aspect of computing. I like that you mentioned how Isaacson focused on the actual life and work of Ada Lovelace. In many ways, I feel the human elements of machines are the most interesting aspect; the idea that people were able to operationalize there vision is more astounding to me than the what they invented themself. This is a nice compliment to Mahoney’s point; the importance of telling history is to capture how humans created digital solutions for the the problems they conceived.
